Alarm Clock No Match for 5-Alarm Fire Across the Street

25 November 2008

We woke up this morning around 3:45 to shouting, the sound of lots of burning wood, and the arrival of at least 20 firetrucks to battle a massive fire consuming a 3-story apartment building across the street near the intersection of Prince & Fairmont in Cambridge.  We met our neighbors Anya & Blake and Andi & Ben (apologies for mispellings), who hung out at our place with their kids until they could safely return to their homes.  Fortunately the firefighters did a great job of limiting the spread of the fire.

This recent news report provides some additional information.  We hope everyone made it out OK.
